Q1: What is HORD?

Hord is a multi-product platform for tokenized pools. The current main focus at Hord is our liquid ETH staking platform and hETH that provides the highest APRs. Currently, the ETH staking platform is in a community soft launch mode. The public launch of Hord’s staking platform is coming soon. Other implementations of Hord’s protocol for tokenized pools include Viking DAO, an investment DAO focusing on seed-stage Web3 projects. Viking DAO is fully developed and will launch once the Hord team notes improved conditions in the crypto market.

Q2: Can you please explain more about Hord’s ETH Staking?

Hord is able to provide much higher APRs than competing platforms by combining ETH staking rewards, MEV boosts, auto-compounding, and additional HORD token rewards. The public launch of Hord’s liquid ETH staking platform is coming soon.

Another benefit of staking ETH with Hord is the greater decentralization of Ethereum’s validator pool. Currently, the leading liquid ETH staking platform operates 23% of all validators, which can raise some questions regarding decentralization. Those who stake ETH at Hord contribute to the greater decentralization of Ethereum.

Q3: What stage is the platform in?

Hord’s liquid ETH staking platform is in a soft community launch. Our community can stake ETH and try out the platform. The soft community launch will not have the full functionalities of the public launch, but to counterpart that, we offer even higher APRs.

Q4: What is the role of the token in all this?

Validators - Following the public launch of Hord’s liquid ETH staking platform, users can launch their own validator, which will require a specific amount of ETH and Hord.

Governance - Hord tokens will be used for governance decisions on the Hord platform, shaping its future.

Viking DAO Buybacks, burns - Viking DAO will launch in the near future, and with it will come Hord token buybacks and burns.

Early withdrawals - The Shanghai hard fork for Ethereum is expected soon. When ETH withdrawals are permitted, users can stake Hord tokens for early withdrawals without a cool-down period.

Q5: What are these other products?

Hord’s protocol for tokenized pools can be implemented in different & creative ways. The original implementation of Hord was Champions pools, a platform where anyone could follow the trades of well-known traders and influencers. Champion’s pools will launch sometime in the future following the liquid ETH staking platform and Viking DAO.

Private pools are a similar implementation, although it is meant for hedge funds, DAOs, and VCs. With Private pools, funds can broadcast their portfolio and changes to it to their clientele. Private pools can support any EVM that a fund requests, and the fund can limit participants along with other features. Private pools will also launch soon following Viking DAO.

Viking DAO is the next Hord product that will be released. Viking DAO is an investment DAO focusing on a pool of 20 different early-stage Web3 projects. The unique value of Viking DAO is that tokens from these early-stage projects are purchased at seed stages, meaning that their prices will be much lower than IDOs. Viking DAO focuses on up to 20 projects because it safeguards profitability in case a single project fails.

Hord’s DEX is coming soon. With Hord’s DEX, users can trade all tokens related to Hord in a straightforward order book.
