The bankrupt Cryptopia exchange has started returning Crypto Assets and has now repaid 2.249 billion US dollars of Crypto Assets.
ChainCatcher News, according to Cryptonews, New Zealand cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia has started returning millions of cryptocurrencies to account holders after years of closure.
In the network attack of 2019, millions of dollars worth of tokens were stolen from the Cryptopia platform, and Cryptopia subsequently filed for liquidation. At that time, the amount stolen from the platform was approximately 15.5 million dollars. However, during the liquidation period, the platform was hacked again in 2021. This time, a former employee stole $170,000 worth of cryptocurrency from the wallet linked to Cryptopia.
