AB DAO and the AB Charity Foundation officially announced the establishment of a national-level innovative resort in Timor-Leste - the Timor-Leste AB Resort. This project is the world's first national-level innovation center focusing on both Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain, covering an area of 300,000 square meters along the coastline, integrating technology research and development, vacation leisure, and entertainment. The project will be developed in four phases; the first phase covers 26,000 square meters and is expected to be completed within 18 months.

After the completion of the Timor-Leste AB Resort, it will recruit AI innovation teams, top Blockchain projects, industry authoritative media, blockchain research institutions, international exhibition brands, and scientific advisors from around the world to jointly hold technology summits, academic seminars, and incubation activities; at the same time, it will also provide an ideal habitat and communication platform for global blockchain practitioners and digital nomads.

The Timor-Leste AB Resort boasts superior island resources and a favorable policy environment, while also obtaining an exclusive issuance license for stablecoins, as well as operational qualifications for digital banking and digital exchanges. The resort will rely on these compliant licenses to build a comprehensive on-chain financial service system, ensuring the security and convenience of various digital asset transactions. The resort supports consumption and exchange permissions for mainstream digital currencies, and AB asset holders will also enjoy exclusive consumption discounts and priority booking among other premium privileges, with specific terms of the benefits currently being formulated.

AB Charity Foundation Chairman and former Prime Minister of Ireland Bertie Ahern highly praised this cooperation, stating: "The AB Resort in East Timor will provide a scened experience that integrates research and development, learning, and living for blockchain communities around the world. The resort complex includes high-end hotels, vacation villas, innovative office buildings, training centers, and exhibition facilities, as well as a yacht club, marine experience area, and digital nomad camp. The project will be open to global Blockchain enterprises and communities, with a focus on introducing technology laboratories, incubators, and industry summits to support the implementation of new technologies and ecological prosperity.

AB DAO and the government of East Timor will closely collaborate, supported by public donations and decentralized governance, to promote local infrastructure upgrades and talent cultivation. As an important public welfare project of the AB Charity Foundation, the East Timor AB Resort will undoubtedly inject new energy into Blockchain development and set a new benchmark for the integration of Blockchain and tourism.
