Bitcoin Price Prediction 2025: Can BTC Rise to $150,000 by Mid-Year?

Bitcoin (BTC) reached a new ATH of $107,700 in the second week of December. The current price surge is bringing optimistic sentiments for the beginning of 2025. The Fear and Greed Index has reached 87, indicating significant investor interest. The global cryptocurrency market capitalization is $3.72 trillion, up 1%, with trading volume increasing by 34% to $211 billion. Bitcoin's market capitalization has surpassed $2.11 trillion, with a trading volume of $83 billion, maintaining a dominance of 56.46%. President Donald Trump's plan to turn the United States into a Bitcoin superpower is generating excitement in the industry. If Trump's proposal for a strategic Bitcoin reserve fund is approved in January, the price of BTC could skyrocket to new heights. This year's price increase is driven by the approval of Bitcoin spot ETFs, and now all attention is focused on the development of Bitcoin in 2025. With tax policies, new regulations, and Bitcoin reserve plans, how high could the price of Bitcoin rise in 2025? Bitcoin price prediction for 2025 Mark Yusko, CEO of Morgan Creek Capital, shared his views on the future of Bitcoin in a recent podcast with Thinking Crypto Tony Edwards. He predicted that the current fair value of Bitcoin at $100,000 will trigger a parabolic price hike, potentially pushing the price up to $120,000-$150,000 in mid-2025. Yusko remains confident in Bitcoin's four-year cycle, which he believes will peak in the first half of 2025. However, some analysts have warned of the "Double Bubble Altcoin Season", where a large pump could lead to a significant correction, similar to the 2017–2018 cycle. In January 2018, many altcoins skyrocketed 100 times, only to witness a 95% collapse within a year. He supported his position with events this year, noting how the immediate approval of ETFs in January pushed Bitcoin to $74,000 in February, followed by some minor adjustments right after approval. This was a time when many seized the opportunity to buy in as prices dipped, and with a distribution model, Bitcoin also witnessed lower highs and lower lows in the futures market. The cryptocurrency community participates Cryptocurrency analysts Tommy Mustache and Tim Peterson predict that Bitcoin will reach a price range of $105,000 to $112,000 in early 2025, with Peterson relying on his Metcalfe's Law model to make the prediction. Meanwhile, if everything goes smoothly in Q1, the all-time high is expected to go higher, reaching around $150,000 to $160,000 no earlier than mid-2025, while Fibonacci and Elliott Wave analyses indicate slightly higher potential peaks. By April or May 2025, the fair value of Bitcoin is expected to stall at around $100,000 due to reduced leverage and increased investor activity. Analysts predict a parabolic surge to $150,000 before a correction, potentially causing a sharp decline to $75,000. That being said, the adjustment potential will not be as strong as in previous cycles, when the decline reached as low as 50% from the fair value, however, this time the risk is calculated. Predictions based on historical models when a new ATH brings short-term adjustments. DYOR! #Write2Win #Write&Earn $BTC {spot}(BTCUSDT)
