10 million STARK budget, a quick look at the 67 projects awarded in the first round of Starknet Early Adoption Grants
Written by: Karen, Foresight News
With the strong anticipation of potential STARK airdrops, the gradual improvement of the Starknet ecology, and the interactive activities launched by the ecological wallets Argent and Braavos, the locked amount of Starknet exceeded 50 million US dollars this week, and this figure was only less than 8 million in early March. Ten thousand U.S. dollars.
Meanwhile, the Starknet Foundation announced the first round of 67 grantees for the Starknet Early Adoption Grant (EAG) program. The task of the EAG committee established by the Starknet Foundation is to distribute multiple rounds of STARK token clearance to early builders of applications on Starknet, allowing early builders to participate in the operation of the network through pledge and voting. The total budget is up to 10 million STARK tokens, accounting for 0.1% of the STARK initial token supply (10 billion).
The first round of the EAG program has a total of 104 project applications, mainly for applications already on the Starknet main network or test network, and requires the application projects to open source their Starknet contracts and verify them on the block browser. The specific distribution adopts a point mechanism, the upper limit of points is 18 points, and 1 point rewards 10,000 STARKs. The measurement criteria are innovation (1-5 points), importance to the Starknet ecosystem (1-5 points), and so far in Starknet activities on the site (1-5 points), team size and workload (1-3 points).
Among the donated projects, projects launched on the main network before April 5 can unlock 100% of the grant tokens, projects in the test network can unlock 25% immediately, and the remaining 75% will be released within 2 months after the main network is launched distribution.
Foresight News will briefly introduce 67 projects donated by EAG, so as to help readers follow the steps of the Starknet Foundation EAG Committee to learn more about Starknet ecological projects. Overall, 64% of the projects that were applied for successfully received donations, but there are also many projects that have received grants with low completion and a relatively small number of users.
