The spring of the cryptocurrency market? The SEC finally stopped its "heavenly strikes" and began to make peace!
In the past, the SEC's attitude towards crypto projects was akin to that of a mob boss: "You say you're not a security? Then I’ll ask you again." But now, they have surprisingly initiated a "crypto research group" and even proposed a so-called "project cooperation" plan, leaving the crypto community stunned.
But be careful, this kind of "research" sounds like a way to huddle together for warmth, but in reality, it might be "training before collective imprisonment." The SEC's move is reminiscent of a homeroom teacher saying they want to "be friends with everyone," only to turn around and call the parents.
However, this also indicates one thing: they are starting to understand that "cryptocurrency cannot be destroyed, it can only be integrated." Especially in the face of hardline approaches, the stalemate of the Ripple lawsuit, and the Federal Reserve's attitude of printing money while pretending to be oblivious, the SEC also knows that continuing to be hardline will only drive cryptocurrency companies to Dubai, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
What the project team needs to do is actually very simple:
✔️ Token design should not be linked to returns
✔️ DAO must have real governance, don't pretend to vote
✔️ The white paper should not be written as a science fiction novel
Is the SEC actively researching cryptocurrency? You might think they are handing out goodies, but they are actually trying to find out "who is the boss." Don't create exit scams; learning to embrace regulation is the key to wealth in 2025.
