However, Linea has introduced a new twist this time, incorporating native ETH earnings, a Burn Mechanism at the protocol layer, and a deflationary design centered around ETH, which is quite innovative.

Looking closely, it seems that Linea aims to create an "ETH capital base camp". This positioning is quite interesting and reminds me of those projects back then that claimed to be the "killer of xx public chains". However, this time Linea is taking a symbiotic approach rather than a confrontational one, which may reflect the wisdom gained after several rounds of bull and bear markets.

What interests me the most is that ecosystem fund, managed by a consortium of Ethereum leading institutions such as Consensys and Eigen Labs. I've seen quite a few such models in the past few years, some successful and some not. The key still lies in execution and long-term vision.

Overall, the Linea solution is quite ambitious, but whether it will succeed still needs to be tested over time. History always repeats itself while also innovating.
