USD Stable Coin daily volume exceeds 100 billion, becoming the second largest buyer of US bonds

On June 25th, it was reported that the daily volume of the US Dollar Stablecoin has exceeded $100 billion since June, significantly surpassing the volume of BTC and Ethereum. According to the quarterly reports of the two major Stablecoin issuers, out of the total $250 billion US Dollar Stablecoin, US Treasury bonds account for at least 80% of the reserve assets, which is equivalent to an additional demand of $200 billion for US Treasury bonds. Standard Chartered Bank predicts that by 2028, the size of the Stablecoin market will decrease to $2 trillion, corresponding to a demand for US Treasury bonds of $1.2 trillion to $1.6 trillion. Stablecoin issuers will become the second largest buyer of US Treasury bonds after The Federal Reserve (FED).
