Docomo, BCG "GT6551" completed version launched on MetaMe - Utilizing ERC6551

Docomo officially launched the completed version of its developed blockchain game "GT6551" on its metaverse service "MetaMe" on April 23. This was announced by Relic, which cooperates in the operation of MetaMe, on May 12.

GT6551 is a blockchain game developed by Docomo that utilizes the NFT standard "ERC6551".

ERC6551 is a standard that allows for the linking of a smart contract wallet called a Token Bound Account to existing ERC721 NFTs (a common NFT standard). This enables the NFT itself to effectively hold and manage other NFTs and cryptocurrencies.

According to Docomo, GT6551 is the world's first blockchain game that utilizes the characteristics of ERC6551 to combine multiple NFTs into one, allowing for customization (configuration) of NFT functions through their combinations.

One of the main features of the game is that users can freely combine multiple NFT items, such as "part NFTs" like engines and tires, and "driver NFTs", with the underlying "Racing Machine NFT".

This allows users to create their own original racing machines with different performances and designs, and own them as their assets. Since the performance of each part is reflected in the overall performance of the machine (speed, acceleration, grip, etc.), strategic tuning becomes possible.

Created and acquired NFT parts can also be bought and sold on corresponding marketplaces such as the "MetaMe NFT Marketplace."
