The Shanghai Composite Index broke through the March high and hit a new high for the year.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose by about 0.6% in the afternoon, hitting a new high for the year, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose by over 1%. The ChiNext Index rose by nearly 2% in the afternoon, climbing back above 2100 points, surpassing the high point on May 14th, with sectors such as securities and semiconductors leading the zone in terms of rise.
