On Friday, the Supreme Court rejected the timeline requests made by two educational toy manufacturers seeking to overturn several import tariffs imposed by Trump. This rejection means that the U.S. government will have the usual 30 days to submit a complete response, rather than the shorter timeline requested by the two companies in their application on Tuesday. The two companies, Learning Resources Inc. and hand2mind Inc., hoped the Supreme Court would take unconventional steps to hear the case without waiting for a ruling from the federal appeals court. The Trump administration argued that the Supreme Court should allow the normal appeals process to proceed.
