In 2025, the <a href="/ja/price" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">crypto market</a> rebounded strongly. Among many Layer-1 blockchains, SUI stands out, not only with the token price continuously rising, but also with rapid ecological development and increasing community activity, becoming one of the star projects in this bull market.

As of April 25, 2025, the price of SUI token is $3.36, rising by 12.94% in the past 24 hours, and increasing by 57.10% in the past week. ## Ecological expansion: multi-domain driven growth

The rapid expansion of the SUI eco is an important driving force behind its price performance. The number of users, DeFi, NFT, gaming, and infrastructure are all growing in sync.

Currently, the SUI network has over 150 million accounts, a 7.05% increase in just the past week. Its low latency, high throughput architecture provides a smooth trading experience for DeFi and gaming applications.

In terms of DeFi, the total value locked (TVL) of SUI has reached $2 billion, with leading protocols including Cetus, Navi Protocol, Suilend, and Scallop Lend. Among them, Navi Protocol has a TVL of $261 million. In addition, the stablecoin supply on the SUI network increased by 15.01% this week, reaching $824 million, further activating the DeFi eco.

NFT is gaining momentum in gaming. SUI has partnered with MoviePass, Lucky Kat Studios, Gameplay Galaxy, and other projects to promote the practical application of NFTs and games. Thanks to the unique NFT features brought by the Move language, developer activity and NFT trading volume have significantly increased. The market capitalization of community-driven meme coins has reached $296 million, with a weekly increase of 170%, demonstrating the vitality of the community.

In terms of infrastructure, SUI has been frequently active in the decentralized storage field, with a recent total funding of $140 million, and related projects will further strengthen SUI's technical foundation and network performance.

## Growth Drivers: Technological Advantage, Institutional Support, and Community Enthusiasm

SUI uses a unique Move programming language, supports parallel ution and an object-oriented data model, making it perform well in high-frequency interactive applications such as DeFi, games, and social platforms. At the same time, this design reduces the risk of smart contract errors and can effectively scale with eco growth. Compared to other public chains like <a href="/ja/price/solana-sol" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Solana</a>, SUI provides developers with a better development experience and security protection.

SUI has also attracted high attention from institutional investors. Financial institutions such as Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, and Libre Capital have expressed their support for it. World Liberty Financial, associated with Trump, also announced that it will launch related products on the SUI network. Canary Capital recently submitted a spot ETF application for SUI to the SEC, driving SUI prices up by 8% at one point. If the ETF is approved, it may attract more traditional investors to the SUI eco.

In terms of community, since the end of 2024, the SUI network community has been consistently active and positive. Many users refer to it as the 'most hardworking public chain project,' and the popularity of meme coins and NFTs also relies on the continuous promotion of the community, bringing in a large number of new users and developers for SUI.

## Risks and challenges still need attention

Although SUI is performing well, there are still some potential risks:

Token unlocking pressure: By 2025, approximately 64 to 74 million tokens will be unlocked monthly, accounting for 0.64% to 0.74% of the total supply. If large holders choose to cash out, it may exert pressure on the price in the short term.

Market overheating: Technical indicators show that the relative strength index (RSI) of SUI is approaching overbought territory. If it fails to break through $3.60 effectively, a profit-taking-induced adjustment may occur.

Fierce competition: SUI needs to continue to innovate to meet the challenges from other Layer-1 networks such as <a href="/ja/price/solana-sol" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Solana</a> and <a href="/ja/price/aptos-apt" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Aptos</a>. Despite having technological advantages, SUI still needs to stay ahead.
